![]() ![]() Costs attendant to the vehicle’s removal will be borne by the motor vehicle operator. All parking regulations remain in effect, regardless of whether or not classes are in session.Īny vehicle parked on campus whose security system is activated (deliberately or by accident) creating a loud alarm for at least 20 minutes and thereafter not silenced, may at Menlo’s sole discretion be removed at the motor vehicle operator’s expenses by the police or a third-party service provider. Permission to drive or park a vehicle on the campus may be revoked by Menlo College at any time, and may result in disciplinary action up to and including suspension from the College. Menlo College’s Parking Policy requires that all vehicles operated on the Menlo College property observe ALL LAWS of the California Vehicle Code, San Mateo County Local Code, and Menlo College Parking Policy. This includes holidays and times when the College is not in full operation. All reserved spaces, such as ADA, service delivery, manager spaces, etc., are reserved 24 hours, seven days per week, unless otherwise noted on the sign. Parking is not permitted in Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) spaces without a state-issued disability parking placard. Vehicles are not permitted to park in any space that may have any type of obstruction (e.g., cones). Any vehicle parked along curbs or sidewalks that hinders/damages wheelchair ramp areas, fire safety lanes, or reserved spaces is subject to ticketing and/or towing at the motor vehicle owner’s expense. Parking in grass areas is not permitted unless at the direction of event parking staff. A citation, booting and/or towing are the enforcement actions which may be taken when vehicles are parked in violation of Menlo College and/or local regulations.Īll parts of the vehicle (not just the tires) must be inside the designated parking space, generally indicated by two white lines. Failure to find a legal parking space is not a valid reason for violating Menlo College regulations or, for example, parking illegally because you’re late for class. The responsibility for finding a legal parking space rests with the motor vehicle operator. As a small college, access to parking spaces on our campus is very limited and obtaining a parking permit – which is required in order to park on campus - does not guarantee a parking space.
